Orthopedic and Trauma

The Orthopedic Surgery and Trauma Department of Saint Joseph´s Catholic Hospital takes care of clinical assessment, diagnosis, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of congenital and acquired conditions, deformities and traumatic and non-traumatic functional alterations affecting the locomotive system and extremities.

The Hospital has different technical means for diagnosis, such as the X-Ray machine. Throughout 2013, the Hospital will see the renovation of the X-Ray equipment, thanks to the unvaluable support of the Italian Episcopal Conference and Juan Ciudad NGO. In the beginning of 2013, as well, new specific orthopedic surgical instruments were donated by the Castillian Province of The Order of Saint John of God and its Hospitals in Spain.

This department offers 24 hour attention with a physiotherapist and a doctor on call.

The Orthopedic Surgery and Trauma Department of SJCH is headed by Dr. Muvu, with the assistance of 3 physiotherapists.
